On March 6, 2006, in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, Cindy Wright, former President of AFGE Local 1298, was sentenced to twenty-four months in prison and was ordered to pay approximately $32,000 in restitution. On October 5, 2005, Wright pled guilty to a one-count indictment charging her with making false statements of material fact.
