On October 13, 2020, in the United States District Court of Massachusetts, Michael Oldham, former President of American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) Local 1900 (located in Taunton, Mass.), was indicted with 29 counts of wire fraud totaling $38,970, one count of false statements, and three counts of filing false tax returns in the amount of $233,970, which resulted in fraudulent refunds totaling $18,237, in violation of 18 U.S.C. 1343, 18 U.S.C. 1001(a), and 26 U.S.C. 7206(1), respectively. The indictment includes a forfeiture allegation pursuant to 21 U.S.C. 853(p) and 28 U.S.C. 2461(c).
