On March 30, 2006, in the United States District Court for the District of South Dakota, David Pirrung, former Financial-Secretary and Business Manager of Bricklayers Local 1, pled guilty to a one count superceding information charging him with having concealed union financial records. Pirrung had been indicted on January 3, 2006 on one count of embezzling union funds totaling approximately $3,000. After acceptance of his plea, he was sentenced to three years probation and 100 hours of community service and was ordered to make full restitution of $9,975. He had been indicted on February 11, 2003 following an investigation by the OLMS Minneapolis Resident Investigator Office.
