On August 20, 2015, in the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, Michael C. Trembulak, former President of Utility Workers Union Local 475 (located in Rochester, Pa.), was sentenced to five months of incarceration, followed by six months of home confinement, three years of supervised release, and was ordered to pay restitution in the amount $31,528. On March 4, 2015, Trembulak had previously pled guilty to embezzlement of union funds, in violation of 29 U.S.C. 501(c).
